Our company is a group of enthusiasts located in Tampa Bay, Florida who have worked for the past few years in designing unique 3D printers to help push the industry forward.

The founder of Venturi 3D, Christopher Lane, began working with 3D Printers in 2003 while at St. Petersburg College. Using Solidworks and a Stratasys Dimension printer, began creating 3D prints and was intrigued with expanding the industry ever since.

After a few years of working with smaller consumer printers, such as the Printbot Simple and i3 style printers, he saw where the industry was heading. In 2017, he began with a design for a consumer friendly multi-color 3D printer, started a company called "Venturi 3D" and launched a Kickstarter in 2018.

Utilizing a modified version of the Prusa Multi-Material System, he sought to create a versatile CoreXY printer with a simple to use interface.

Although due to various circumstances the Kickstarter was cancelled, we've never stopped pushing to find the latest in 3D printing trends. Along the way, we began seeing the benefits of new technologies being developed, such as the E3D toolchanger. We decided that pursuing this was the best next step for our company and hence, the Nexcore was born.

Starting with a different setup using all aluminum extrusion frame, we began testing and demonstrating a prototype for toolchanging.

Since these early Nexcore prototypes, it was determined the most useful design to help the most people was a lower cost E3D style toolchanger. As soon as the individual E3D toolchanger components were available for sale, we've started working on a high quality, relatively low cost option.
